JOB PROFILE

Railways Division requires a Project Engineer to manage the engineering design of railway civil engineering and rail system projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working in a multi-disciplinary rail design environment, reporting to the business manager, understanding client requirements and managing project teams to deliver the required engineering design.

The duties will include;

Supervising rail civil engineering design process
Team management and work load prioritisation
Quality management and quality system compliance
Engineering check and review
Acting as the project’s primary client interface
Producing proposals and supporting the ongoing development of the business

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

You will be a motivated, ambitious and forward thinking individual who wants to progress from an engineering design role into engineering and project management. The ability to communicate clearly, to project professionalism and to motivate staff is essential. Other requirements are:

Essential:

Relevant Engineering Degree
Extensive postgraduate industry experience
Proven design experience in civil or mechanical engineering
Ability to communicate clearly to all levels of ability and understanding
Ambition, motivation and commitment

Preferred:

Chartered Engineer
Railway civil engineering design and construction experience
